A medical clearance is a primary-care opinion that the patient is safe from a general-medicine standpoint. The anesthesia decision applies different criteria: ASA classification, airway, NPO status, medication holds, sleep apnea and the risk profile of the planned anesthetic. Patients with a signed clearance letter are still cancelled at the door. VeriOp applies the anesthesia criteria early, so the clearance letter becomes one input instead of the only check.

Yes. VeriOp operates as your business associate under HIPAA, and a Business Associate Agreement is executed before any patient information enters the platform. Enterprise customers can take the platform through their own security review before launch.

In the United States only, on HIPAA-eligible cloud infrastructure under a Business Associate Agreement. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest with industry-standard encryption, and no patient information is stored or accessed outside the United States.

AI analysis runs inside VeriOp's own HIPAA-covered cloud environment, under a Business Associate Agreement. Patient information is never sent directly to an AI model developer, is not retained by the AI service, and never trains any model.

Only authorized users at your organization. Every user has a unique login and role-based access, organizations are isolated from one another, and multi-factor authentication protects administrative access. Activity is logged.

VeriOp runs on enterprise cloud infrastructure whose SOC 2, ISO 27001 and HITRUST attestations cover the infrastructure that stores and processes patient information. Our application-layer controls are documented in our Information Security Policy. We complete customer security questionnaires, name certifications only when we hold them, and will scope any attestation your center requires as a condition of contracting.

We notify affected customers in writing without unreasonable delay and no later than 10 business days after discovering a breach of unsecured patient information, well inside HIPAA's 60-day limit, so you can meet your own notification obligations.

You do. An administrator can export every record your organization created at any time, with no request or fee. On written direction, we permanently destroy your patient information within 30 days and certify the destruction in writing.

A base platform fee plus a per-clearance rate that decreases with volume: a standard rate up to 250 clearances a month, a volume rate from 250 to 1,000, and a custom agreement above 1,000 or across multiple sites. Your tier is set by average monthly volume across all locations and reviewed quarterly, never changed mid-month.

One patient, one scheduled procedure, run through VeriOp's screening and risk stratification. Re-checks on the same patient for the same procedure are not counted twice.

Yes. Surgery centers typically start with a 60 to 90 day pilot on their own cases, scoped to one site or service line. We baseline your cancellations and on-time starts first, agree the target metric with you, and track the change. If the pilot hits the metric, you convert. If it doesn't, you walk away.
